Yin Yang

He was the calm summer sea,

And she, a wandering speedboat.

She caused ripples unlike anything he’d experienced before,

While he, gently rocked the drifting vessel.

She discovered new coves and creeks which he didn’t know existed before,

while she enjoyed the tranquil sail under the constellations.

But the wretched sky was not on their side,

A storm emerged, raising the tides,

Almost sinking the ship, compelling her to move on to explore new horizons.

The storm lasted a while and disfigured his banks, leaving him with memories and yearning for her to come back.

And just like that, it all ended before their story even began,

He was almost her yin, but she, his yang.
